A man has been shot near a Harvard University dormitory. The man was wounded in his stomach Monday outside an entrance to Kirkland House, one of a dozen dorms on the university’s campus in the Boston suburb of Cambridge. He’s hospitalized in stable condition.

Police say it’s unclear if he’s a student. House Master Tom Conley tells The Harvard Crimson daily student newspaper the man doesn’t live in the undergraduate dorm.
